Professional Background:

Kara Knaack started working at Syverson Strege in 2022. Originally hailing from Sergeant Bluff, IA, she completed her communications degree at Northwestern College after spending time studying abroad in London. Kara also holds a master’s degree from Gonzaga University in Communications Leadership. Prior to this, she spent several years co-owning and leading business development with Des Moines Mom, a locally based parenting resource website. Kara has a marketing and client relationships background. She enjoys helping businesses connect with their audience through integrative marketing and content creation.

Personal:

I currently reside in Grimes with my husband Lance and two children Lucan and Gracelyn. We have attended Northpoint Church since 2007 and enjoy being involved there. I also participate in our local Moms in Prayer group and enjoy chronologically reading through the Bible via The Bible Recap podcast. In my free time, I ferry my kids around but also love being a part of Des Moines Mom, reading, podcasts, baking sourdough bread, and fermenting kombucha.
