    Financial Tip:

Spend less than you make and invest the rest.

    Fun Facts:

    • I’m used to change as I moved 21 times by age 21. No, my Dad was not in the military. There was just greener grass as a salesman that he wanted to explore so we moved a lot.
    • My wife Jen and I played competitive volleyball in college, as did our children Erik and Adrienne. I am fortunate to still be able to play and medal in national and international volleyball tournaments.
    • Our compassion for children led us to serve over the years as a foster home for 27 children.
    • We currently volunteer at Wildwood Hills Ranch where I teach the older teens about personal finance using the NEFE and David Ramsey materials. I also go to the camp weekly during the summer for a glorious hour of fishing chaos with about 20 children ages 8-12. Jennifer helps drive the Wildwood draft horse team in parades. Jennifer and I are both actively involved in achieving a sustaining revenue source through worm farming at the Ranch.

David spoke at the FPA of Singapore's conference, the CFP Professional International Forum in Christchurch, New Zealand and China's first Financial Planning Conference in Shanghai.

In 1997, the central Iowa Chapter of IAFP presented him the Ric Jorgenson Award. This prestigious award is presented annually to the financial planning professional who exemplifies excellence and high standards in the field of financial planning and community service. Worth magazine has listed David as one of the top financial advisors in the United States. This national recognition comes from David being part of a team that won two national awards for financial planning case studies.
