• Tim Schau

    Fun Facts:

    • I am a huge Iowa Hawkeye fan! While on a college visit to the University of Iowa, my buddy and I noticed the gate to Kinnick Stadium was open. So, we walked in and took a picture of me in the end zone. Iowa’s visitor locker room is notorious for being painted pink. With the help of the Michigan equipment guy, we went into the locker room and took pictures with a Michigan helmet on.
    • During the COVID-19 pandemic, I realized I love to read. My new favorite thing to do is wake up on the weekend, read, and drink coffee. I read the entire 20+ books of the Mitch Rapp series in a year. I am currently a little over halfway through the Alex Cross series by James Patterson.
    • I love music and my favorite band is the Dave Matthews Band. I went to my 10th show of theirs in 2022 in Omaha. It was the first time I had seen them perform since they were in Des Moines in 2019.

    Personal:

In my spare time, you will either find me on the golf course, listening to music, or watching the Yankees and Hawkeyes. I also enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I love a good BBQ. I have become an avid reader and frequent Half Price Books.

Growing up, my parents taught me how important it is to “treat others as you want to be treated,” or more well-known, “do to others as you would have them do to you,” Luke 6:31. Whether that was on the football or baseball field, I learned to extend a hand to help an opposing player up off the ground, or befriend the one who was an outsider to include them in a group.

“Oh, just love will open our eyes. Just love will put the hope back in our minds. Much more than we could ever know. Oh, so, don’t burn the day away.” ~ Dave Matthews
