    Financial Tip:

Know your “why”: Why are you saving money? It’s motivating to know the purpose, whether it’s the ability to pay for experiences and travel with family and friends; giving money to a cause that’s dear to you; the comfort in having security for your family members; or any other “why” that resonates with you.

    Fun Facts:

    • I am a published poet (poem on Larry Bird made my hometown Bismarck Tribune).
    • As a Boy Scout, I earned the Zero Hero badge (slept overnight in a cardboard box when the temperature was below zero; now I question my parents’ thought process).
    • I traversed the Grand Canyon from the South Rim to the North Rim, then back to the South Rim, in one day (Rim-to-Rim-to-Rim).
    • I enjoy running 100-mile trail races.

    Personal:

I am driven to work hard for our clients in an effort to help them reach the goals that are important to them and, in addition, assist the communities they live in.

Outside of the office I enjoy time with family: my wife Carolyn and two boys, Will and Pete. I love family time spent laughing and I try to avoid "dad jokes!"

My wife and I work to teach our boys the benefits of an active lifestyle, helping others, and the virtue in being kind and generous in all of our relationships. I previously served as a faith formation teacher. I enjoy reading, international travel, and am an avid ultrarunner, including 100-mile races.

The “why” of my existence is to share experiences with my family at every stage of life – not just at the end! Also, a lifelong goal is to give to programs that enable marginalized individuals and groups improve their life circumstances.
